Current Projects

The Outdoor Classroom serves more than 450 Council Oak Elementary (COE) students.   The Outdoor Classroom transformed COE grounds into a half-acre outdoor discovery space incorporating a children’s forest, prairie classroom, outdoor pavilion, and multiple gathering spaces.   A Science Education classroom with two water labs was added in spring 2017.    Donations support ongoing curriculum and material needs.

Outdoor Hydration Station. With the completion of the new track, increased use of the outdoor soccer field, and outdoor activities during recess we're upgrading the drinking fountain to an Elkay bottle filler and drinking fountain. These units are vandal proof, freeze resistant, and an indoor chiller will be added to make sure the water is cool on a hot summer day. Please consider donating to this much needed improvement.

The Council Oak Elementary (COE) School Foundation

The Foundation maintains the capital improvements and beautification efforts of the COE school grounds.   These efforts are supported by contributions and fundraising events.   Your support of our Maple Ridge treasure is appreciated.
